Most homes in Singapore are HDB flats.
That means when you sell your HDB flat, buyers are comparing it with many other flats, often with a similar layout. So how do you help buyers see why yours is the one?
HDB flats are practical homes, but space is limited. When buyers walk into an HDB flat, they start asking questions:
When buyers can’t answer these questions, they hold back. They leave the viewing unsure, or they keep looking.
Staging answers these questions before buyers have to ask.
An HDB flat isn’t a short stay. Buyers are often picturing many years in the home: children growing up, family dinners, working from home, getting older in the same place.
So they aren’t only looking at the walls and floor. They’re asking: can we build our life here? Staging shows them the answer.
Location, the nearest MRT and the price are part of your strategy as a seller or a property agent. Those are the reasons buyers book the viewing.
Staging helps with what happens next, when buyers walk through the door. It helps them see the space, feel at home, and decide.
Here’s an HDB flat we staged. Same rooms, same angles, before and after.
Before, the living room was an empty space with one chair. It was hard to tell how big it was or where the sofa would go. After staging, a sofa, an armchair, a rug, a coffee table and a plant show buyers how the room can be laid out, with space to walk around.
Before, the dining corner was a bare space next to the window. After staging, a full dining set with six chairs fits in the same corner. Buyers can see there’s room for the whole family at the table.
Before, the room had a built-in wardrobe and nothing else. After staging, a bed with a headboard, bedside table and lamp show buyers the room fits a full bed, with the wardrobe still easy to reach. The room feels like a place to rest.

Yes, especially when the flat is empty. HDB flats have limited space, so buyers want to see how furniture fits. Staging shows them, so they don’t have to guess. Ideally, stage before your flat goes on the market, so buyers see it at its best from the first photo.
The living and dining area is a good start, because it’s the first space buyers see. Bedrooms help buyers check that a bed fits. We’ll suggest what works best for your flat when we send your quotation.
